"Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it." -John Adams

Welcome to Patriot's Lament. We strive here to educate ourselves on Liberty. We will not worry ourselves so much with the daily antics of American politics, and drown ourselves in the murky waters of the political right or left.
Instead, we will look to the Intellectuals and Champions of Liberty, and draw on their wisdom of what it is to be a truly free people. We will learn from where our Providential Liberties are derived, and put the proper perspective of a Free Individual and the State.

Patriot's Lament take on the Panama Papers Leak

By Patriot's Lament contributor, Michael Anderson.

This week, a leak called “The Panama Papers” was released. It was leaked by someone inside a Panamanian company called Mossack Fonseca. It specialized in setting up shell companies for clients and would even provide shell corporate officers. The leak totaled over two terrabytes and the leak appears to be linked to US front groups, including Soros groups. The news stories focus on the secret financial transactions of business people and foreign heads of state.

Obama has now made “unscripted” comments regarding this and they are very predictable. He claims we need to have international laws to prevent “tax evasion”. As if keeping your own property is a bad thing. One must understand that States are established to grant monopoly control over parts of the market for itself. Even the establishment of the American government had nothing to do with securing freedom. The Anti-Federalists had already accomplished this. The establishment of the American government, like ALL others, was to grant monopoly control over certain market functions, such as the postal system, military and courts and to collect duties on imports. It's right there in the Constitution. The collection of taxes is NOT about funding necessary services. It is about funding the enforcement of monopoly control over what should be market activities; It is about providing inferior services, just good enough to keep people from violently revolting, at highly inflated prices so that that tax money can be handed out to themselves and their friends. It is about a few at the top obtaining much more money than would come from the free market, while providing what would be sub-par service in the free market. That is what taxation is about. The bottom line is that ALL products and services needed or desired, including policing, courts and defense,  are provided far more efficiently and with far better quality by the free market, than can be provided by the state. Therefore the state serves no real purpose other than to enrich the morally corrupt, by theft.

Remember how upset the government was over the Snowden Leaks? Snowden is wanted by the US government for espionage. In fact Obama has prosecuted more people for espionage than any other US president, ever. Yet, he seems to welcome this leak and is using it as an excuse to make it even harder for people to keep their own money. This will be used to try and get the American dopes to support more financial tyranny. It will be used to make you poorer and the parasite richer. This is not a legitimate leak. It was set up to provide the excuse to expand FATCA. The government wants more and more, like any parasite, and it will do everything it can to fleece and rob every one of you of everything you have.

State slaves (tax payers) will, no doubt, respond “We need more laws to prevent tax evasion so those corrupt politicians can't get away with this”. Such a wish is ridiculous and nonsensical. No politician ever passes a tax unless he first figures out how to exempt himself or hide his money. A politician is corrupt, by definition, otherwise he would earn his money in the free market. But he instead decides to use the state's guns to collect taxes and launder his money through established shell companies, the largest of which, is the state, itself. New laws to prevent “tax evasion” are all about limiting YOUR options to: starve or stay alive just enough to enrich the state.

The proper response is for people to understand what the state is; to understand that it has no interest in your freedom; that it will ALWAYS have a way to exempt itself from the rules it imposes upon you (that's why it is the state). The proper response is to call for the abolition of taxes altogether. This is the ONLY way to put everyone on equal footing. Since taxation (the forceful and violent collection of resources) is the crux of the state, what we would have are free market options for all people, rather than a few having the benefit of living off stolen money that they collect for highly inflated inferior services.
