"Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it." -John Adams

Welcome to Patriot's Lament. We will strive here to educate ourselves on Liberty. We will not worry ourselves so much with the daily antics of American politics, and drown ourselves in the murky waters of the political right or left.
Instead, we will look to the Founding Fathers of our great Nation, and draw on their wisdom of what it is to have a truly free Republic. We will learn from where our Providential Liberties are derived, and put the proper perspective of a Freeman and the state.

H.R. 3166: Enemy Expatriation Act

Breathe a sigh of relief! They weren't telling us lies after all. The NDAA won't allow for indefinite detention of American citizens...no no no, you silly little Americans.

You will no longer be a Citizen!!!

H.R. 3166

Seems to me they are closing any loopholes they might have missed in the NDAA.

This bill is one to watch, and we will be.

Arctic Patriot has a good post on this with some information of the sponsors of this bill, folks that could use a little verbal wake-up call from us.
Sealing the Deal

  1. How can you think anything "verbal" will "wake up" any of them?

They no longer care what we the sheep have to say about anything.

The worst that can happen to them - in their minds - is that they lose the next election. They still get to keep their salary for the rest of their lives, and will likewise enjoy the fruits of all their crooked dealings for just as long.

It's no longer about anything but the agenda - and they're not even bothering to PRETEND any more!

We're going to need a lot of rope...

  2. Don't you understand the importance of the Declaration of Independence? Do you not understand the importance of the "long train of abuses"?
Who cares if they wake up or not. That's not the point.
How can you string them up if they are operating on the pretense that they have the backing of the American populace? Because whether we like it or not, the majority in this "democracy" will see nothing wrong with what they do. They will cheer them on!
It is your responsibility to speak out against it.
    Silence is compliance.

  3. "Long Train of Abuses"... This is crucial, and it is vital for legitimacy.

Most Americans want exactly what we have.

    That's why we have it.

Gotta love democracy and mob rule...
