"Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it." -John Adams

Welcome to Patriot's Lament. We strive here to educate ourselves on Liberty. We will not worry ourselves so much with the daily antics of American politics, and drown ourselves in the murky waters of the political right or left.
Instead, we will look to the Intellectuals and Champions of Liberty, and draw on their wisdom of what it is to be a truly free people. We will learn from where our Providential Liberties are derived, and put the proper perspective of a Free Individual and the State.

Patriot's Lament August 11, 2012: Freedoms Granted and Step Out Of The Darkness

In this episode, we knock out any thought that Paul Ryan would take us down any road that would be fiscally sound. We discuss voting again, and talk about the difference between granted freedom and Liberty. Israel asks the audience to quit bickering on which political solution is correct, but rather to "Step out of the darkness" of politics and into the Light of Liberty!

  1. Hey guys, I'm listening to you trying to convert Randy now. Here's a good train to go down when trying to talk somebody through it. Get them to admit that they don't believe something because it's never happened before. Then why would voting improve government? Why would voting lessen government? It has NEVER happened! Look at a chart at the size of government, or government expenditures, or whatever.. it NEVER goes down! EVER! This whole thing is predicated on a myth...a fantasy....

In any case, some people are visual learners. Which is why I published a graph with the book I just published. Check it out at my site http://endlessunlimited.com/?page_id=217

If you guys would like a free, printable PDF copy, I'll send one to ya. Feel free to repost my graphic for Randy.

In any case, keep up the great work,

    M

  2. ps- What's the deal with people in Alaska? Peeps keep saying that "we need an escape route". An escape from what? From a horrible government? Okay, no government. Problem solved. No escape route necessary.

  3. Oops. Realized Aaron said, "Jesus was arrested" and I was thinking "Paul was arrested." Guess I was in a hurry to make the point about Paul spending more time in jail than we really think about today.

  4. Voting is the sacrament in the church of democracy. Saying you are INTENTIONALLY not voting is to show yourself a heretic. Someone who doesn't vote out of laziness is a backslidden worshipper, but not a threat. The heretic is another matter altogether, he is not of the body.

  5. Jim, Plato said "Democracy passes into despotism".

John Adams, "There has not been a democracy which has not murdered itself."

The church of democracy is a church of suicide, death, and destruction. It is a church that leads to the worship of false kings. I'll gladly not be of that body.
