"Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it." -John Adams

Welcome to Patriot's Lament. We will strive here to educate ourselves on Liberty. We will not worry ourselves so much with the daily antics of American politics, and drown ourselves in the murky waters of the political right or left.
Instead, we will look to the Founding Fathers of our great Nation, and draw on their wisdom of what it is to have a truly free Republic. We will learn from where our Providential Liberties are derived, and put the proper perspective of a Freeman and the state.

Lew Rockwell

I thought I would put up a donation site for Lew Rockwell's LRC.

You can find it here.

  1. Most people prefer to believe that their leaders are just and fair, even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a Citizen acknowledges that the government under which he lives is lying and corrupt, the Citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one’s self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all. --Michael Rivero

  2. How much worse for the people who realize that the government (of the monopoly provider sort) is by necessity lying and corrupt? We can't be placated by simple "reforms" to the systematized mechanism of theft and killing. We are literally NOT of this world.

  3. So are you saying it is actually worse for us because we do know what's going on? The few that do? At least mentally it's worse? :-)

  4. Yes, actually, that is it! It is worse because we don't have the easy out of "voting and supporting Republican candidates."

EPJ has a lot of good stuff lately.
