"Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it." -John Adams

Welcome to Patriot's Lament. We strive here to educate ourselves on Liberty. We will not worry ourselves so much with the daily antics of American politics, and drown ourselves in the murky waters of the political right or left.
Instead, we will look to the Intellectuals and Champions of Liberty, and draw on their wisdom of what it is to be a truly free people. We will learn from where our Providential Liberties are derived, and put the proper perspective of a Free Individual and the State.

Lew Rockwell on withdrawing consent from the government

The ostensible supporters of the Constitution, like the ostensible supporters of most other governments, are made up of three classes, viz.: 1. Knaves, a numerous and active class, who see in the government an instrument which they can use for their own aggrandizement or wealth. 2. Dupes – a large class, no doubt – each of whom, because he is allowed one voice out of millions in deciding what he may do with his own person and his own property, and because he is permitted to have the same voice in robbing, enslaving, and murdering others, that others have in robbing, enslaving, and murdering himself, is stupid enough to imagine that he is a "free man," a "sovereign"; that this is a "free government"; "a government of equal rights," "the best government on earth," and such like absurdities. 3. A class who have some appreciation of the evils of government, but either do not see how to get rid of them, or do not choose to so far sacrifice their private interests as to give themselves seriously and earnestly to the work of making a change.  Lysander Spooner

Americans dodged the big one. Whatever.

So pat yourselves on the back, gun lovers of America. You made a stand against a bunch of huff and puff, and it seems you "won" again.
All this talk about gun control was a bunch of crap. Sure, if the State could disarm you, it would be very preferable, but do you think they would risk anything to make it happen?
Why would they?
Americans still will pay whatever tax is demanded of them.
Americans will still obey whatever law or regulation is put on them.
American churches will still get 501C-3 permission from the state to have the right to gather and "worship."
American Christians will still get permission slips from the State before they get married before God.
Americans will still send their children en masse to public indoctrinated education schools.
America will still have the highest incarceration rate in the world, where 90% of the inmates are there for "crimes against the state," not actual crime with a victim.
American politicians will still do insider trading, pass huge contracts to their buddies to enrich themselves and bail out banks and corporations.
American politicians will still pass laws that take away every other right in the bill of rights with zero consequence.
The government is still bankrupting the country, spending with zero limitations, and refusing to slow down.
Your dollar is still eroding into a thing of the past.
The president will still have a kill list.
The government still claims the right to detain you forever without trial.
The wars for the Empire won't slow one bit.
And you?
Your best answer to all this is, " We gotta get a better guy in office next time."
As I have said before, Americans are the most well-armed slaves in history.
But you are not free. You are still slaves.

Enjoy your gun.

If at all possible, do not sign up for the treatments for PTSD. I don't care if they offer you money or some other benefit.
The State is your enemy, it does not care that you put your life on the line for it.
The ruling class cares about one thing only, keeping their power.
There is no such thing as "free" money.
You are in a database. You will soon not be able to own a weapon. Schumer sees you no differently than a felon.
But if you are mentally ill, whether you’re a veteran or not, just like if you’re a felon, if you’re a veteran or not, and you have been judged to be mentally infirm, you should not have a gun.Chuck Schumer.
These things are not a joke. These people play for real. Haven't we already seen the DHS say that returning vets are suspect to becoming home-grown terrorists?
Homeland security sees vets as greatest terror threat.

When a veteran is declared incompetent, the Veterans Administration (VA) appoints fiduciaries, often family members, to manage their pensions and disability benefits. Because of Schumer’s NICS Improvement Act of 2007, the VA also automatically enters the names of those veterans in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, which prohibits them from buying or owning firearms.
According to a report released quietly by the Department of Veterans Affairs in September, 247,243 veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars were “coded with potential PTSD” between Oct. 1, 2001 and June 30, 2012.

I would strongly suggest you take this very seriously. The State is your enemy. They do not care what you have "done for your country". You are a serf.
Please tell others about this danger to vets. They need to know the truth of what is going on.

Patriot's Lament December 15, 2012: Bill of Rights Death and Flee Babylon

In this episode, on the anniversary of the u.s. Bill of Rights, we talk about how the Bill of Rights is dead, and has been since they were codified into the constitution. We reject class warfare, but understand there is a "Ruling class" that is at war with the Ruled class. We talk about nullification, and about the latest school shooting. We ask why we are so upset with a school shooting, but not the murder of 40 children by the State at Waco. Why was there no outcry when Sammy Weaver, a 14-year-old boy, was shot in the BACK by the State??!! We go on to mock "Smaller government" and we talk about the relationship between drugs given to school kids and the prescription drugs that ALL of the shooters in mass killing have been on since 1998.

Patriot's Lament December 1, 2012: Special Guest Richard Maybury

In this episode. the great Richard Maybury joins us again in the first hour of the program. We ask him some pointed questions about the economy and what he thinks our future holds;, he comes back with some solid answers and encourages people to make preparations, and gives people good advice that anyone can do. Even on a small scale, you can do things to protect yourself. Read his books! And I highly recommend joining his newsletter. Just click on his link on our website.
In the second hour, Matt Want and I go around and around about the need,  or not, for government.
