"Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it." -John Adams

Welcome to Patriot's Lament. We strive here to educate ourselves on Liberty. We will not worry ourselves so much with the daily antics of American politics, and drown ourselves in the murky waters of the political right or left.
Instead, we will look to the Intellectuals and Champions of Liberty, and draw on their wisdom of what it is to be a truly free people. We will learn from where our Providential Liberties are derived, and put the proper perspective of a Free Individual and the State.

Adam Dick with Patriot's Lament

Senior Fellow of the Ron Paul Institute, Adam Dick, joins us for 2 hours of great analysis of what may be coming in the new Trump administration as far as domestic policy is concerned.

Things could go either way, but with rhetoric that Trump has espoused in the campaign, such as "stop and frisk", the likelihood of our Liberties being trampled on seem to be what we can expect.

Patriot's Lament January 26, 2013: Fallacies and Something to Fight For

In this episode we talk about fallacies the State employs against us, and how we would free ourselves from tyranny if we could see through it.
We also talk about homeschooling, and what things are worth fighting for, and as you might guess, politics isn't among the list.

Lew Rockwell on withdrawing consent from the government

The ostensible supporters of the Constitution, like the ostensible supporters of most other governments, are made up of three classes, viz.: 1. Knaves, a numerous and active class, who see in the government an instrument which they can use for their own aggrandizement or wealth. 2. Dupes – a large class, no doubt – each of whom, because he is allowed one voice out of millions in deciding what he may do with his own person and his own property, and because he is permitted to have the same voice in robbing, enslaving, and murdering others, that others have in robbing, enslaving, and murdering himself, is stupid enough to imagine that he is a "free man," a "sovereign"; that this is a "free government"; "a government of equal rights," "the best government on earth," and such like absurdities. 3. A class who have some appreciation of the evils of government, but either do not see how to get rid of them, or do not choose to so far sacrifice their private interests as to give themselves seriously and earnestly to the work of making a change.  Lysander Spooner

Patriot's Lament November 3, 2012: Obamney Inflation and Economics

In this episode we talk about Romney being a crony capitalist, not a free market one. We talk about the impossibility of voting for freedom, and how property owners were the only ones that should have a vote.
14-year-old Israel educates us on taxation through inflation, and we argue with Randy about whether there is even ONE thing good to be said about Romney. We also make the charge that the republican party uses abortion as red meat every time there is an election, but given the chance to actually do something about it, they never do.

Patriot's Lament October 13, 2012: Lew Rockwell and End Of Land Of The Free

In this episode, we have a very special guest, the great Lew Rockwell. We talk with him about Ron Paul, voting, the Mises Institute, and Murray Rothbard. Congrats on 30 years, Mises! In the second hour we have some soldiers call and talk about war, and we discuss whether voting changes anything. We also talk about taxes and the immoral practice the State has of stealing people's property for not paying fealty.

Patriot's Lament October 6, 2012: Imagine An Island and You Don't Own It

In this episode we have fun talking about the appropriation of property, and imagine ourselves on an island. Obviously we are trying to expand on Hans Hoppe.
Do you own your property? The callers ask some great questions, and make some great comments.

Voting Is Violence

From Rev. Emmanuel Charles McCarthy on Lew Rockwell.

Once one has the office, and is vested in the myth and the mystique and the moral validation that go with it, he or she cannot only torment, torture and kill other people, he or she can make the laws that validate the agony and slaughter he or she is pouring down on others. Hitler did nothing illegal, which is why U.S., England, France and Russia had to create the trumped-up ex post facto law – so called crimes against humanity – to convict and kill Hitler’s cabinet and military officers. Hitler saw to it that everything he did was legal by simply creating the laws he needed to legalize what he wanted to do. A contemporary local example of this process would be the Patriot Act in the United States.
President William Clinton kills 400,000 children under twelve years of age in Iraq, his Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, says on national television that this most grotesque form of child abuse "was worth it." Yet, neither one is in prison nor in the electric chair. Why?
No one is born with the right to kill 400,000 children. Yet, President Clinton, and to a lesser extent King Herod, killed children with abandon. From whence comes their right to do this. Clinton’s right to kill children came from being elected President. Herod’s right came from his being the son of a King. That is it! Human beings endowing human beings with the right to kill human beings is what the divine right of kings, drawing straws or elections are all about. If either Obama or Romney were not going to be endowed, if elected President, with the same right to use violence against their fellow human beings that Clinton and Herod had would anyone beyond their family, friends and acquaintances care a jot about what these two guys had to say?
Given the choice would Jesus have voted for Herod or Pilate or neither? In governmental elections is there ever anyone to vote for but Herod or Pilate? Since the make-believe lesser of two evils standard is still evil, why not just write-in "Lucifer" as your vote?

You are still free to choose no...

When will we choose Liberty rather than a change of the slave master?

When will we choose Liberty and Justice for all?

When will we decide as freemen, No Kings, No Priests?

You had better seriously think before you go vote this Tuesday. You will be held responsible.

Get off your KNEES!

Patriot's Lament September 22, 2012: Ram It Down Their Throat and Chip Away Legitimacy

In this episode we talk about the U.S. government's foreign policy, and we ask "what would Jesus do"? We talk about the Mennonites leaving the US and we talk more about lending legitimacy to the State.

Patriot's Lament September 15, 2012: Why Did You Not Vote and Power Creates Evil

In this episode Aaron asks Steve to tell the reason why he decided not to vote in the last local elections here in Fairbanks. The discussion revolves around participation in the State and then someone calls to ask why the Bennett brothers haven't "renounced" their citizenship.

Patriot's Lament August 25, 2012: Is Liberty Important Enough and Read a Book

In this episode, we talk about the wrong headed concept of "limited government", how there can be no justice with political law, and how we are NOT government. We talk about who the Sovereigns were supposed to be in America, and how citizens are merely slaves. We also again talk about lending legitimacy to the government by voting.

Miiiiiitt Romney!! OBAMA!!

For those of you who say we have to vote for Mitt Romney.
And for those of you who say we have to vote for Obama!
It is seriously getting harder and harder to not pop a stupid republican in the nose who tells me why I HAVE to vote for Romney.
HAHAHA!! SUCKERS!
Fools.

Patriot's Lament August 11, 2012: Freedoms Granted and Step Out Of The Darkness

In this episode, we knock out any thought that Paul Ryan would take us down any road that would be fiscally sound. We discuss voting again, and talk about the difference between granted freedom and Liberty. Israel asks the audience to quit bickering on which political solution is correct, but rather to "Step out of the darkness" of politics and into the Light of Liberty!

Go vote, if...

"Vote in the elections if you want to acknowledge that you are little more than a trained dog whose freedom is limited and controlled by its master."

This article was on Lew Rockwell the other day by Michael Rozeff. Thanks Scott!!

Patriot's Lament August 4, 2012: Can You Vote For Freedom and Bring Your Brain

In this episode we claim that voting is the reason for American apathy, and ask if you cannot gain freedom by voting, why do you vote?! What freedom have we ever gotten from voting? It's the slaves choice. In the second hour,we claim that anything you vote on,you give your consent for the outcome. You admit you only have Rights that the State allows you to have. Are we free or are we slaves?!! Please don't hurt me Mr. State!! Slave.

If you don't vote, inferior people will govern you.

Or so says local Fairbanks radio host Michael Dukes, referring to Plato.
Sorry Mike, just because his name was Plato, doesn't mean he was always right.
Today was our statewide primary voting day. And the local radio shows went on and on about the need to vote. They even went out of their way to mention Patriot's Lament, and ridicule our stand on not voting.
Meh.
Doesn't bother me. I listened to all their arguments for voting, and they all made me laugh. Just the fact that they have to devote their whole show to advocate for voting, makes me laugh. If it is the natural right thing to do, you shouldn't have to devote 3 hours advocating for it.
I love the "It's your duty and responsibility as a citizen to vote." First, a citizen is a slave, he is under someone. Second, in what founding document of our country, by any of our Founding Fathers, is it written that it is a duty to vote? In what document do any of our American Founding Fathers say voting is a responsibility? Not gonna find it. So quit lying about it and trying to make your fellow servants believe it or feel guilty that they have unknowingly broken a solemn oath if they don't vote.
There are plenty of other things that the Founders said was a duty, like the Juror's duty to vote against the government, or his duty to cast off tyranny, but I can't find anything about a serf's duty to "Vote" for a ruler.
Michael Dukes said, Look, the options are this, cyanide or arsenic, but we have to choose one or the other. Cyanide will kill you instantly, but arsenic you can spit out and maybe last longer. And that is our only option!
What is that supposed to mean?
Sorry, Dukes, I will not choose suicide. Either slow or fast.
My real beef?
"If you don't vote, inferior people will govern you."
Hey, Michael, anyone who forces himself on me is my inferior! Who knows how best to govern myself but me?
If a man should govern another man, he should also govern how a man worships God. Michael, do you think a man should govern how I worship my God?
How can anyone, who has 2 arms, legs, eyes, and a brain the same as I have, rule over or govern me?
A lady called in and tried in vain to ridicule our position. She said," We do not live in ultimate tyranny!" We should all participate in the process"!
And that is why we should vote?
Maria, the boys at Lexington did not live in ultimate tyranny. In fact, they had MUCH more Liberty than we have today. But they chose Liberty over ANY and ALL tyranny.
Every example you gave of your freedom today, was just an example of what the government ALLOWS you to do! That is not Liberty. That is slavery.
So is voting. Voting is a slave deciding on which master will beat him, but the plantation never changes!

Simple-minded serfs. You will not take dominion over your life, or even responsibility.
So-called Christians, you tell me I should have a king? You point out his evil and then tell me I must participate?
I have no man/god. I have no man/king. I have no man/priest.

I choose not to give my consent to any evil. I will not vote to use force of violence against my neighbor.
So what if my decision "doesn't change anything"?. I am not called to force the world to change. I am called to be the change.

That is my vote.

Oh, That My People Would Listen to Me

There shall be no strange god among you;
you shall not bow down to a foreign god.

Psalms 81:9

But as David pointed out in an earlier blog, here, we do have a strange god. And that god is the state.

COME OUT OF HER!!

Choose, then shut up and accept the consequences.

This goes along perfectly with the previous post today.

Get on out there and VOTE your life away.

"Give us a King".

Here you go.

Leave God alone, you have chosen whom you will serve.

1 Samuel 8:10-18

10 So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. 11 He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. 12 And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14  He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. 15 He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. 16 He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men[a] and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 1He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. 18 And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

"No Kings, No Priests"!!!!
