"Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it." -John Adams

Welcome to Patriot's Lament. We strive here to educate ourselves on Liberty. We will not worry ourselves so much with the daily antics of American politics, and drown ourselves in the murky waters of the political right or left.
Instead, we will look to the Intellectuals and Champions of Liberty, and draw on their wisdom of what it is to be a truly free people. We will learn from where our Providential Liberties are derived, and put the proper perspective of a Free Individual and the State.

Internment camps? Not here, really?

Justice Anthony Scalia said some pretty interesting things this past week, something we have been ridiculed here at Patriot's Lament for even suggesting, when we helped to expose the detention articles in the NDAA 2 years ago.
Well, seems that we weren't wrong so much, unfortunately.
When a supreme court justice is willing to say it in public, a person ought to take notice, especially when he says the things that he did.

Patriot's Lament August 11, 2012: Freedoms Granted and Step Out Of The Darkness

In this episode, we knock out any thought that Paul Ryan would take us down any road that would be fiscally sound. We discuss voting again, and talk about the difference between granted freedom and Liberty. Israel asks the audience to quit bickering on which political solution is correct, but rather to "Step out of the darkness" of politics and into the Light of Liberty!

If you don't vote, inferior people will govern you.

Or so says local Fairbanks radio host Michael Dukes, referring to Plato.
Sorry Mike, just because his name was Plato, doesn't mean he was always right.
Today was our statewide primary voting day. And the local radio shows went on and on about the need to vote. They even went out of their way to mention Patriot's Lament, and ridicule our stand on not voting.
Meh.
Doesn't bother me. I listened to all their arguments for voting, and they all made me laugh. Just the fact that they have to devote their whole show to advocate for voting, makes me laugh. If it is the natural right thing to do, you shouldn't have to devote 3 hours advocating for it.
I love the "It's your duty and responsibility as a citizen to vote." First, a citizen is a slave, he is under someone. Second, in what founding document of our country, by any of our Founding Fathers, is it written that it is a duty to vote? In what document do any of our American Founding Fathers say voting is a responsibility? Not gonna find it. So quit lying about it and trying to make your fellow servants believe it or feel guilty that they have unknowingly broken a solemn oath if they don't vote.
There are plenty of other things that the Founders said was a duty, like the Juror's duty to vote against the government, or his duty to cast off tyranny, but I can't find anything about a serf's duty to "Vote" for a ruler.
Michael Dukes said, Look, the options are this, cyanide or arsenic, but we have to choose one or the other. Cyanide will kill you instantly, but arsenic you can spit out and maybe last longer. And that is our only option!
What is that supposed to mean?
Sorry, Dukes, I will not choose suicide. Either slow or fast.
My real beef?
"If you don't vote, inferior people will govern you."
Hey, Michael, anyone who forces himself on me is my inferior! Who knows how best to govern myself but me?
If a man should govern another man, he should also govern how a man worships God. Michael, do you think a man should govern how I worship my God?
How can anyone, who has 2 arms, legs, eyes, and a brain the same as I have, rule over or govern me?
A lady called in and tried in vain to ridicule our position. She said," We do not live in ultimate tyranny!" We should all participate in the process"!
And that is why we should vote?
Maria, the boys at Lexington did not live in ultimate tyranny. In fact, they had MUCH more Liberty than we have today. But they chose Liberty over ANY and ALL tyranny.
Every example you gave of your freedom today, was just an example of what the government ALLOWS you to do! That is not Liberty. That is slavery.
So is voting. Voting is a slave deciding on which master will beat him, but the plantation never changes!

Simple-minded serfs. You will not take dominion over your life, or even responsibility.
So-called Christians, you tell me I should have a king? You point out his evil and then tell me I must participate?
I have no man/god. I have no man/king. I have no man/priest.

I choose not to give my consent to any evil. I will not vote to use force of violence against my neighbor.
So what if my decision "doesn't change anything"?. I am not called to force the world to change. I am called to be the change.

That is my vote.

Patriot's Lament July 28, 2012: Who Is The State and Firearms And Freedom

In this episode we talk about the non-existent being called the state. Who is the state? Government. What is this being? Is it you? Does he/it exist? Are you the government? No. Of course you are not. In the second hour we discuss guns and whether or not they are tools we would use to secure our freedom, or are they a fool's tool, used for bravado.
Not if they come for my guns!! Really?

The state claims domain over rain water

But that doesn't surprise us does it?
Really? The state is god!!!! Bow, subject.
Either that or get off your knees and reject the state.
The state owns the rain? What next? The sun? Wind? Air?
Whatever you concede, that's what the state owns.
I think little old Fairbanks just doesn't get what is going on in the lower 48.
Oh wait, but we let our borough tell us how we will heat our homes....

The Politics of Obedience

A very powerful read. A must. Written by Etienne De Le Boetie, in 1552

A small excerpt:
I do not know how it happens that nature fails to place within the hearts of men a burning desire for liberty, a blessing so great and so desirable that when it is lost all evils follow thereafter, and even the blessings that remain lose taste and savor because of their corruption by servitude. Liberty is the only joy upon which men do not seem to insist; for surely if they really wanted it they would receive it. Apparently they refuse this wonderful privilege because it is so easily acquired. Poor, wretched, and stupid peoples, nations determined on your own misfortune and blind to your own good! You let yourselves be deprived before your own eyes of the best part of your revenues; your fields are plundered, your homes robbed, your family heirlooms taken away. You live in such a way that you cannot claim a single thing as your own; and it would seem that you consider yourselves lucky to be loaned your property, your families, and your very lives. All this havoc, this misfortune, this ruin, descends upon you not from alien foes, but from the one enemy whom you yourselves render as powerful as he is, for whom you go bravely to war, for whose greatness you do not refuse to offer your own bodies unto death. He who thus domineers over you has only two eyes, only two hands, only one body, no more than is possessed by the least man among the infinite numbers dwelling in your cities; he has indeed nothing more than the power that you confer upon him to destroy you. Where has he acquired enough eyes to spy upon you, if you do not provide them yourselves? How can he have so many arms to beat you with, if he does not borrow them from you? The feet that trample down your cities, where does he get them if they are not your own? How does he have any power over you except through you? How would he dare assail you if he had no cooperation from you? What could he do to you if you yourselves did not connive with the thief who plunders you, if you were not accomplices of the murderer who kills you, if you were not traitors to yourselves? You sow your crops in order that he may ravage them, you install and furnish your homes to give him goods to pillage; you rear your daughters that he may gratify his lust; you bring up your children in order that he may confer upon them the greatest privilege he knows—to be led into his battles, to be delivered to butchery, to be made the servants of his greed and the instruments of his vengeance; you yield your bodies unto hard labor in order that he may indulge in his delights and wallow in his filthy pleasures; you weaken yourselves in order to make him the stronger and the mightier to hold you in check. From all these indignities, such as the very beasts of the field would not endure, you can deliver yourselves if you try, not by taking action, but merely by willing to be free. Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break into pieces?

god demands child sacrifice

And that god, who's holy name is STATE, who claims to be the great WE ARE, at the behest of Its high priests, are now demanding, if you do not give your child in sacrifice to State, you must give other offerings, to show State your worship, and bless it for all that it gives you, everything you have, every liberty you know, including life itself.
This story, which I first read on Lew Rockwell, made me sick. But when I heard it on the radio on the top of the hour Fox news, it scared me, and what better day than the 4th of July?
Richard Maybury nailed it when he said we are no different than ancient Rome, we worship death, we worship power, we worship war, to the point of child sacrifice.
This is nothing more than complete obedience and fealty to the state. The state is these people's god.
You, serf, should feel remorse for having children that have not been sacrificed to State. You should feel guilty that none of your children are maimed for life, or dead, because that sacrifice would be to State, and there is no greater sacrifice than to State.
You better wake up. This will soon be a law no doubt. State has no fill of blood. State lusts after, and requires, blood.
Folks, we aren't talking about Revolutionaries fighting the king for Liberty, or fighting for your freedom.

We are talking about the endless war of Empire god/state.

My God, by comparison, said,  Love those who persecute you, and bless those that hate you.
Love your neighbor as yourself? Obviously, those brown people "over there" aren't our neighbors.
I wonder what color the good Samaritan was?

Sorry State, I do not worship you, I will not sacrifice to you. You cannot have my children.

I reject you, I despise you.

I HATE YOU!

Sick psychopaths saddened their children live.

Why don't these people just kill their children, and call it the ultimate sacrifice to State? I bet they would not be charged with any crime....
