Patriot's Lament Feb 11, 2012: Might Makes Right
In this episode we discuss a new fundamental flaw in the "vote for someone who is electable" argument. Primarily that it undermines the theoretical basis of the already tenuous idea of democracy. If you're not voting for someone who really represents you, then democracy can't even work in theory.
We then move on to discuss the meaninglessness of the conservative movement's opposition to the so-called "mandated funding of abortions" in the Obama health care bill ... because the same conservative movement has no problem whatsoever with half of the entire federal budget (1 trillion dollars per year) being spent specifically to kill foreigners (i.e. war and the military). Such conservatives do not oppose what I refer to as "fourth trimester abortions." What a principled stance.
Patriot's Lament Feb 18, 2012: Govern By Consent
In this episode, we start the show with the question, "what liberty?" Revolution for what? Replaced with what? Basically who and what would replace what we have now. No one understands or comprehends what liberty is, they think joe miller is a " constitutional " scholar, which proves our point. What is liberty?
