Send the FAA to the Boneyard!

Ever since Monday I have been seething with hatred for the state-even more than usual. On Monday the FAA released a new regulation requiring the registration of “Unmanned Arial Systems” (UAS) weighing 0.55 pounds or more. This includes any toy or model aircraft that can be controlled, even if it's only flown in your yard. The FAA did say that this does not include paper airplanes. They seriously state that on their website. How did we get to the point that we now have to register our model airplanes? There are some modelers on comments sections thinking this is great because now, their hobby is legitimate. Now they can feel responsible and important, now that they can get another pat on the head by their master.

Compulsory registration of private property is a fundamental violation of property rights. Once someone is forced to register their property with the state, they no longer own it-they rent it. In this case, involving registration of drones and RC airplanes, the renter of what was once his property must provide name, home address, email and five dollars every three years. That doesn't sound like much. But the civil and criminal penalty is outrageous. The civil penalty is up to $27,500 and the criminal penalty is up to $250,000 and three years in prison. All of that for not registering a model airplane. So what if you register and in three years it expires and you forget to register or you crashed it and didn't report it.  Will some goon from the FAA show up and fine you or take you to prison? That is the risk that you take when you register. I wouldn't register in the first place- You'll be better off. If you are stupid enough to actually register your model airplane or helicopter, you have just given ownership of your model to the federal government and you paid them $5 to take ownership of it. Only the state could negotiate that kind of rip-off. 

The FAA claims that this regulation is about safety. They claim that with all drones and models being registered, they can easily find someone who causes damage to property and they can know who to fine and it will make people be more responsible. This is a nonsensical argument. If I cause damage to property with my drone, I am liable for repairs anyway, just as if I cause the damage with a rock when I throw it into an aircraft engine or through a window or into a sports stadium. By the FAA's logic we need to register all rocks with the FAA before we can throw them.  Bureaucrats never find an end to the list of regulations that would help us “be safe”. Bureaucrats also don't seem to realize that more government encourages people to be less responsible, a topic for another article. It won't be long before we are forced to register or cut off one or both of our hands for the cause of safety and national security. After all, a person without hands can't commit a mass shooting or fly a drone or throw a rock. It is unfortunate that so many people loose all capacity for rational thought as soon as a bureaucrat or safety officer shows up and employs the safety excuse on them. 

 Of course, like all bureaucracies, the FAA doesn't offer any sort of incentive for compliance, except they won't put you in prison or bankrupt you. Deputy FAA Administrator, Michael Whitaker, made the disgusting statement “Our real challenge is to get them to understand the rules and get them to comply”. That's right, get those tax cows to comply with our arbitrary dictates. Bend over, we got a broomstick for you. In a free society, that is one without a state, such a registration would be voluntary and the fee would provide an incentive, such as local RC airfields or at least a magazine subscription. Bureaucrats tend to be some of the laziest, least intelligent and least moral members of society and as such, they view all private property as theirs for the taking and convince themselves that paperwork makes us safer because they can't come up with a better excuse for the general looting of the public. This makes them, both, Liars and thieves. Unfortunately some of the public are even dumber than the bureaucrats and accept such ludicrous claims and even view them as a path to being praised by those who wish to rob them.  

In 2012 The FAA was tasked with coming up with drone regulation. The FAA formed a board from private organizations to “advise” them on these new regulations. One of those orginizations was the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Apparently the FAA didn't listen to anything they had to say because the Executive Director of the AMA, Dave Mathewson, who participated in the task force said education programs are the way to ensure safety, rather than a registry that will create “an unnecessary burden” on the group’s members.

Section 336 of the FMRA explicitly prohibits the FAA from regulating hobby aircraft that are flown within line of site. The FAA responded to the section 336 challenge by stating “While section 336 bars the FAA from promulgating new rules or regulations that apply only to model aircraft, the prohibition against future rulemaking is not a complete bar on rulemaking and does not exempt model aircraft from complying with existing statutory and regulatory requirements”. In other words, “We don't give a shit”. So even if you did get prosecuted for not registering your model airplane you could take it to court and win, after you loose your house to pay for the legal fees. This is how a tyranny (the state) works- it violates it's own alleged code of conduct and then just bankrupts the tax cow. After all, the state can get all the money it needs from the other tax cows to keep the case going. This is what happens to a people who have failed to properly define words such as the word “right”, which is another subject for another article. 

When the FAA was tasked with coming up with drone regulations and they were focused on drones used for commercial purposes, which is no less a violation of property rights. Again we see how regulation on one group becomes expanded to all groups. Clearly this is not about safety, especially considering the outrageous fines. One only needs to type “FAA funding” into Startpage to find the real reason for these regulations. The FAA routinely runs out of money and these fines are needed to keep the FAA bureaucrats employed. Back in September, they were granted a six month funding extension, in 2013, the FAA's funding was cut, resulting in ATC layoffs and in 2011 through 2012 the FAA went through 20 temporary funding extensions that resulted in partial shutdowns. The FAA needs money and like all agencies of the state, they will take it at the point of a gun, rather than operating in a peaceful market situation. The drone regulations and fines are just the FAA gasping for cash to survive. 

Back when I completed my private pilot rating, the FAA stated that their purpose was to promote General Aviation. After the 9/11 false flag they changed their stated mission goal to enforcing compliance to regulation. The FAA no longer even pretended to be interested in the rights of pilots or passengers. It is now only interested in advancing the cause of the state (public looting). At one time the FAA provided some good services and its employees really did try to provide quality services. But like all state agencies, the FAA became just another guaranteed pension for the dumb and corrupt. 

The FAA is mostly a regulatory body charged with the safety of air travel. But it's bureaucratic nature and inability to adapt make it a danger. It was only this year that the FAA upgraded from their old HOST system that was developed in the 1960's. The new system, called ERAM began development in 2002, was installed in the spring of 2015 and is a $2.1 billion part of a larger $40 billion project called NexGen that will have the air traffic control system upgraded by 2025. In other words, the system will be upgraded by 2025 with a system that is already outdated today. Would you find a private organization running air traffic control with massive, power-sucking antiquated computer systems from the 1960's when a smart phone and a cheap app can do the same job? Would you find private companies spending $40 billion for the upgrade? You can purchase smartphone apps that combine data from multiple sources for instant and exact locations of aircraft everywhere in the world. Finally, why must the airspace be run by one central agency when each airport and control center can run itself and communicate with all of the others instantly with modern technology? 

Clearly the FAA has outlived any usefulness it might once have had. It has become so narcissistic that it assumes it can control model airplanes and helicopters in your own yard and it is such a bureaucratic behemoth that it is only now beginning to upgrade from fifty year old technology to fifteen year old technology. It is time for the FAA to just die and be replaced by privately funded and operated aviation services. Take AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) for example. It spends millions of dollars every year just lobbying politicians on behalf of pilots. In 2014 they spent $2.5 million on lobbying. In 2013 they spent $2.83 million on lobbying. Why not get rid of the state and the politicians, then all of that money could go to AOPA airports and ATC systems that are far more efficient than the decrepit old systems the FAA still relies on. The FAA is just another pile of ruble in a crumbling nation that sacrificed the market. This is one more great example as to why we just need to abolish the state and allow the market to service our needs. 

Iran Sanctions and the Entangling Alliances of the Gas Wars:

If you want to find the culprit, follow the money. We've all heard that. Likewise, if you want to know where the next war will be, follow the pipeline plans. When it comes to large engineering projects, plans always change, even from day to day, at times. In such a relationship, it only seems logical that as plans suffer major changes, so must the wars. After all, major wars are about conquering the areas where the oil is located and minor battles are about clearing out the population that happens to be blocking the pipeline route. Wars are Never started by aggrieved parties who just want “justice” They are always started by the state to establish or enhance monopolies while using some fake grievance as the official reason. Today, oil and gas are the one most closely associated resources related to acts of war.

It can be quite confusing to follow who is “our” enemy and who is “our” ally on any given day. Just yesterday I saw that the US had given Turkey permission to bomb the Kurdish fighters who are fighting ISIS.  Among the Kurdish fighters there are Americans who decided, out of their own ignorance as to the origin of ISIS (Saudi Arabia and the US), to fight ISIS.  Americans join the poor Kurds (who's gassing was one of the excuses for the first gulf war) to fight ISIS, who makes fake threats of attacking the “homeland”. Then America agrees to the bombing of those Kurds aided by independent American fighters. 

For over a decade, now, we have been bombarded with propaganda about Iran obtaining a nuke. It was the event that woke me up to how the world really worked. The claims were so crazy that I couldn't take the cognitive dissonance any longer and that was when I was a republican. Fortunately for the whole world, the NIE discovered in 2007 that there were no nukes or preparation for nukes and Washington lost their narrative for a “justified” pre-emptive war. The old fable of Iran getting nukes persists among the neo-cons and their mindless parrots. Unfortunately, Iran has been held under sanction for years under the excuse that they are seeking nukes, even with the proof that they were not and are not. Nor is Iran a nation with a trend of attacking anyone. In fact, the last time they attacked anyone was in 1798. Whereas the US can't go six months without finding a new “enemy” to attack, often backed by Israel, and Saudi Arabia or initiated by Israel and Saudi Arabia. 

According to John Perkins, in his book 'Confessions of an Economic Hit Man', part of his job was to make sure lucrative projects were awarded to US corporations. He also writes about the relationship between the US and Saudi Arabia. After Saudi's oil embargos against the US, the US treasury had been employed in a deal with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia would provide cheap and plentiful oil to the US and promise not to embargo the US again and in return, the US Treasury would provide the money to turn Saudi Arabia into a rich first world country and would supply the US military to fight Saudi Arabia's petrol-wars. 

In the past few years, the wars have turned to gas. Several major gas lines have been proposed. Some were abandoned for better ones and some have already gone into operation. Natural gas has long been in short supply in Europe and since the fall of the Soviet Union, Russia has been Europe's savior in this area by leading the charge to get gas to Europe. But others want that business and are willing to destroy Russia's allies to get the gas line routes.

One proposed pipeline was the Nabucco line that would go from Azerbaijan, through Turkey and into Europe, as shown below. As the reader can see, One of the feed lines originates in Iran and the other in Azerbaijan (see fig 2). The Gas would have been supplied by the Shah Deniz Gas Field in the Caspian sea on the north side of Iran and operated by BP

The plan for the Nabucco line was developed in 2002 (hmmm) and abandoned in 2013 after Iran, Iraq and finally Azerbaijan dropped out as potential suppliers. The Nabucco plan was beat out by a competing plan, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) which will supply gas from the same, Shah Deniz, gas field. But even that will supply only about one percent of Europe's demand.

Syria in the Way

In August of 2013, right after the Nabucco line was abandoned, Saudi backed rebels launched poison gas canisters in Damascus, Syria. The attack was blamed on Assad and the US claimed to have taped the events. However the US never released its “proof” that Assad was to blame. Latter, video of Rebels launching gas canisters surfaced and spread around Youtube and on August 30, 2013  Dale Gavlak of the AP reported that the rebels detonated chemical weapons by accident, not knowing what they were and having been supplied with them by Saudi Arabia and while having been on the payroll of Saudi Arabia. Apparently the rebels were supposed to deliver them to Al-Quaeda offshoot Jahab Al-Nusra but they exploded in a tunnel, killing a dozen rebels. John Kerry tried his hardest to get the world to believe Assad did it. But Why? It is not commonly known that Obama had vetoed a Franco-Saudi plan to outright Assassinate Assad in 2012 by using US carrier based warplanes to bombard Damascus for 12 hours, then raid the palace and kill Assad and his family. The Obama administration was “concerned” about the carnage it would inflict on the population. Was that out of a moral concern or a concern of appearance? Obviously they were concerned about appearance since the US State Dept worked so hard to get the world to believe Assad carried out the later chemical attack to justify the very same military action that was proposed the previous year by Saudi Arabia. 

But why all this effort to oust Assad? Because Syria has been an ally and gas production partner of Russia and Russia provides most of the gas to the EU. But Saudi Arabia, Qatar and even Israel want that business.  The Al-Quada associated rebels in Syria, who were fighting Assad (now ISIS), are backed by Saudi Arabia, the US and Qatar. Qatar has proposed the Qatar-Turkey line which would transit through Saudi Arabia. Gas for the Qatar-Turkey line would be sourced from the North Dome/South Pars Gas field in the Persian Gulf, right off the coast of Qatar and it happens to be the largest gas field in the world, yet found, containing an estimated 51 trillion cubic meters (tcm) of gas. It is split between Qatar and Iranian territories. The South Pars portion is actually on the north side, but lies in the southern territory of Iran, hence, the confusing names. Refer to the red area on fig 1.  The agreement for the new gas line going from Qatar, through Saudi Arabia, Syria and Turkey was agreed upon on June 25^th, 2011. But only Syria stood in the way and Assad did not want to agree because he did not want to hurt Russia's share in the region. In 2011, Syrian geologists had discovered a gas field near the Mediterranean port of Tartus, and near Homs, Syria, an area also leased by the Russians. If developed by Syria and Russia, this field could also supply gas to Europe. Gazprom owns and operates production and distribution facilities in Syria. Those very expensive Russian facilities have been under threat by ISIS since the conflict started, and, in May, 2015, ISIS blew up a gas line supplying the Gazprom facility in Furqlus, part of the Homs area. This “mega”-field is now in the hands of ISIS, Saudi Arabia's proxy army backed by the US. The Chinese have had claim to some of the wells in this discovery, also, but they are not in production yet. So, of course, China is sided with Russia. ISIS is an attempt to take over the middle east for Saudi Arabia.

Iran: A New Opportunity.

A competitor to the Qatar-Turkey line is the Iran-Iraq-Syria Line that will take gas from the South Pars field, and send it through a new Iranian trunk line called the IGAT-6. From there, it will travel north, through Iran, supply Iraq and then through Syria and then on to Europe. A similar line had been in the works until 2010 when US Sanctions forced Swiss partner Elektrizitätsgesellschaft Laufenburg to back out. Until the discovery and development of the South Pars field, Iran was actually a net importer of LNG. The agreements for building the IGAT-6 line were signed on July 15, 2015 with the Iranian Government covering 75 percent of the 2.3 billion dollar cost. This just happens to be the day after Obama lifted sanctions on Iran, on July 14, 2015, an action backed by the UN. Key to this story is also the fact that Shell Oil owes 2.3 billion dollars to Iran and that in June, 2015, Shell executives were in Tehran having talks and now, Iran will soon have the largest floating LNG terminal in the world. With sanctions lifted, Iran will no longer be limited to exporting gas only to Turkey and Armenia, but also to Iraq, Which is part of the IGAT-6 plan, and on to Europe. New export agreements for the Iranian gas are to made in the near future. Since the Qatar-Iran-Iraq line is stalled, due to the conflict in Syria, Iran appears to be a much brighter prospect to getting gas to Iraq and Europe at some point in the future. Shipment of Iranian gas to Iraq will begin in a few weeks with a 25 year contract. In addition to gas exports, Iran hopes to start exporting metals and automobiles to Europe and Iran's Deputy Economy Minister Mohammad Khazaei stated that they have already completed negotiations with some European companies wanting to invest in Iran.

Pakistan and China?

According to an agreement made between Iran and Pakistan in 2012, a new contract was signed to ship Iranian gas to Pakistan. According to the terms of the agreement, Pakistan was to be ready to receive the gas in the end of 2014 with a one million dollar per day penalty if the deadline was not met. But sanctions on Iran have prevented Pakistan from completing its part of the project. Recently, however, Pakistan has entered into a 46 billion dollar project to ship gas to China to reduce China's dependence on the Straight of Malacca for energy imports. Russian Competition.

In 2011 Russia began the Nord Stream line that provides gas to Europe, via  pipes under the Baltic Sea. Discussion for the Nord Stream line began in 1997 and it was laid between May of 2010 and November of 2011. The EU has long been a net importer of gas. Even in 1997, the EU demand for gas was 439 bcm but its production was only 245 bcm. Connecting Europe to Russian gas supplies has long been seen as a solution to Europe's gas shortage, considering that Russia has almost as much gas (44,600 bcm reserves in 2012) as the middle east. The Nord Stream line allows Russia to divert some of the gas that would have gone through Ukraine and Belarus resulting in an annual loss of $700 million, worth of transit fees, for Ukraine. Most of the Russian gas will still be transiting through Ukraine, however. It is also important to note some of the late propaganda we have received about Lithuania's need for Nato troops to protect them from an “uptick” in military activity in the form of Russian troops and Russian planes flying over, some with transponders turned off. Take a look at the map in fig 3. Do you see that little pink spot between Lithuania and Poland? That is the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad. It Holds a large Russian Naval base and has since WWII. It is the only port in the Baltic that remains Ice-free year round and, thus, is an important port to maintain the Russian fleet and presumably to maintain the Nord Stream line. Of course there are Russian military aircraft flying over. It's an old Russian base. Considering the tensions that have brewed, I might turn my transponder off, too, if I were a Russian pilot flying over the area. Oh, for us Anarcho-Capitalists, it has been a Russian Economic Free Zone since 1991. There is no military buildup against Lithuania. The Russians have always been there.

In December of 2012, Russia also began work on the South Stream project which will send Russian gas under the Black Sea and through the Balkans and into Austria and Italy. The South Stream project is projected to be complete in 2018 (fig 4). Even if the Middle East pipelines like Nabucco had been built, they would not be able to compete with the amount of gas that Russia can supply through the South Stream line. Not even the new Iranian line can. The gas provided through IGAT-6 could only supply half of what the Russian South stream line can and as of now, IGAT-6 is only going as far as Iraq and Turkey. Europe needs Russia or it freezes.

Lately the neo-cons have been enraged (or at least they pretend to be to stir up the political fervor among their flocks of war-pigs) by Obama's lifting of sanctions on Iran. “Obama is putting Iran on the glideslope to a nuclear bomb” says Chris Christie. According to Ted Cruz, Iran could set off an EMP over New York. Neo-cons are claiming Obama is allowing Iran to fund terrorism and other forms of nonsensical fear mongering for the war-hungry. The US, under Obama, the Bush's, Clinton and Reagan has been funding, training and supplying various terrorist groups throughout the world for decades. The neo-con mystics are even claiming that their crossword puzzle, called the Torah Code, is predicting an imminent nuke attack by Iran and therefore Israel must nuke Iran first. Obama may be a tyrant in a whole lot of ways but lets be honest. He didn't lift sanctions on Iran because he is a Muslim terrorist in presidential drag. He lifted sanctions because Iran now has a market advantage against Saudi Arabia. Sanctions on Iran have not been recently supported by Saudi Arabia, only because Saudi Arabia demands a more “decisive action” by the US against Iran and Syria and Saudi Arabia now officially supports the lifting of sanctions. Sanctions have only put the US in the middle of tribal wars between sects of the same religion. 

America's wars are the result of interventionist policy. By exposing the US to the tribal resource wars  of the region in entangling alliances.  ISIS was a creation of Saudi Arabia and allies to take middle-east gas fields and since the US had long ago promised to give military aid to Saudi Arabia, the US made itself a partner in a major terror campaign to simply steal resources. Clearly Europe sees a benefit in trading with Iran. It is far more lucrative than spending money dropping bombs on Middle-East countries for Saudi-Arabia. In fact, while researching this article I found an advertisement by Saudi Arabia hailing the benefits of “Decisive Storm”, a military action led by Saudi Arabia against Yemen, as if it were some kind of miracle cream (http://www.arabnews.com/DecisiveStorm) .  This is just one audacious example of the mindset of the Saudi royals. They are a mafia with no regard for property rights or life. To them, like to many US politicians, war is just business. 

Perhaps European and US companies are tired of dealing with Saudi Arabia's monopolist wars and the lost opportunities it has cost them. Companies operating in the market are always willing to cooperate with each other if it helps them profit. The Shah Deniz field was to be operated by BP, but other companies from Russia and Iran also held shares in that field. It is the State that is in constant conflict for tax revenue and transit fees and that depends on who gets to have the line travel through “their” conquered territory. In reality, although the US is the Giant, it got that way with cheap access to oil and the trade-off was to sell its mercenary services to the nation that provides that resource-Saudi Arabia and now- Qatar. But after all of these years of watching Saudi Arabia orchestrate and participate in false flags to stir up conflict and using the US to depose Saudi's oil rivals while despicable US politicians profit off the wars they help orchestrate what we may be witnessing is an example of the market breaking the current war cycle. But even parasites can adapt, so it is possible that politicians will make deals with Iran, similar to those made with Saudi Arabia. Is it possible that, with ISIS (Saudi) now in control of so much of Syria, Saudi Arabia will allow Iran to send gas through? Is it possible that the US realizes it can no longer afford to be Saudi Arabia's henchman (politically or financially) and now it needs to move on to greener pastures? Since the deals established with Saudi Arabia, the US has been willing to carry out Saudi Arabia's desires and with NATO being run by the US, that puts Europe at odds with the US. Either Europe breaks ties with NATO, to maintain gas supplies from Russia or it freezes. Europe's NATO alliance is forcing it against its own supplier. Or the US breaks with Saudi Arabia and makes peace with Iran to keep getting oil and gas. The sanctions against Iran were always a tool used to appease the Saudi's. There was never any real concern about Iran having nukes. It was all a ploy.

Geo-politics and Ukranian secession

Geo-Politics. This is what Richard Maybury is going to be talking with us about today on the Patriot's Lament radio show. I know we are going to be talking about the Russia/Ukraine/USA conflict.
I am mind boggled myself over this whole situation. The US government gets caught talking about spending $5 billion to support a coup and put in their own puppet government, the US government spin was that the Ukrainians have the right to their own self determination,(on this point I agree 100%, all people, every individual should be the owner of their own self and decide what they will or will not subject themselves to).
So there is a coup, and obviously the US sets up the government they want in place of the one that was in power. Then eastern Ukraine, Crimea in particular, votes to secede from Ukraine, and the US government all of a sudden does a 180 and says the Ukrainian people don't have a right to self determination. Of course Russia is blamed, but from what little I know, the eastern Ukrainians are basically ethnic Russians, and because of earlier State edicts, they were given to Ukraine. Like trading around cattle.
I'm not a cheerleader for the Russian State, I am against EVERY State, but I have to ask, why can't ALL the Ukrainian folks have self determination? If the eastern Ukrainians want to secede, and be apart of Russia, why not let them? Whether they want an autonomous state, or to live in an Anarchist state, what business is it of ANYONE'S except theirs?
Hans Hoppe argues for individual secession, and I like that idea. Why can't folks just live the lives they want, and be loyal, or disloyal, to whomever they want?
And more important, what business is it of anyone else?
I can see by looking at the "stats" on my blog, that we have folks from Russia and Ukraine that visit the blog. No, it doesn't tell me who anyone is, just that we had visits from these places.
So, if you are from Russia, or Ukraine, please, I don't know what is really going on, so tell us in your own words. Leave a comment.
For the rest of us, we should ask, why should any entity be able to tell any individual who or what they must obey or follow?
America was founded on secession, shouldn't Americans support secession movements anywhere in the world? I certainly do. If humans have the right to self ownership, we have the right to secede. If we don't have the right to secede, then we are merely slaves to the State that claims to own us.
Independence from the State should be our goal.

Prepare now, not when you wished you had

Last week, Fairbanks got hit by a good snow storm, big deal. Then it rained. So what? Then the wind came up with 50 mph gusts, blowing down hundreds of trees which were bearing the weight of heavy wet snow.
The power went out all over the valley, thousands of homes without power.
We lost our power sometime during the night, big deal right?
 I have a generator.
 Problem was it was still sitting at my shop, not hooked up to our house. I didn't worry too much about it, our woods stoves kept the house warm enough, propane cook stoves gave us hot meals, but when we were told it would be several days before power came back, and by the third day tired of melting snow on the stoves for flushing toilets, I decided to drag the genset out of the snow.
I didn't know enough about this genset to do anything with it the first day, besides get it started in 10 degree weather.
A friend got it wired in on the 4th day, and we had power, running water and flushing toilets!
 Cool huh?
The power company had us back on line a few hours later.
Still, I was and am disappointed in my procrastination. Why had I waited for this to happen to set up my generator? My battery pack for the house is still sitting in my shop, not hooked up to anything. I don't have any fuel stored up at the house like I keep telling myself I would do.
What if it was the normal -40 during this time? A lot of folks would have been in a hurt box, and I was ill prepared to help anyone.
I guess the point I am trying to make is, don't wait until necessity forces you to take action.
On day one of the outage here, I heard stories of generators being cleared off the shelves, as well as water, batteries, flashlights and candles.
Fred Meyer threw away their fresh food after 8 hours, so the supermarket wasn't going to help much as far as fresh food.
So stock up a little food, it can't hurt. Even if you just grab 2 extra cans of food on every shopping trip.
Maybe have some extra fresh water on hand? Batteries? A few candles? Don't think you can go grab it after the emergency happens, because it isn't going to work that way.
I have found some neat water pumps for those who have their own wells, it fits down your well and you can actually pump water into your home system to charge it up.
You can't expect to grab some extra propane or fuel after the fact if the local station doesn't have power to pump it.
Plus, I think it is good to have extra beyond what you need so you can help those who are in worse shape than you are.
In a real crisis, say a financial meltdown, you certainly shouldn't think you will just blow your neighbor away because he knocks on your door to ask for some food for his kids.

I think times are close, when things are going to get very bad, very very bad. Power may be the least of one's worries. So do yourself, your family, and your neighbors a favor, store up a little now.
Encourage your families and friends to do the same.
Ask them what they would do if they don't have the State to run to for help.

I don't see why small communities can't make it through what's coming.

But it's up to you to make it happen.

Be an asset to your family and friends and neighbors, not a hindrance, or worse, a burden.

I especially think it is important for Anarchists (or Voluntaryists), to be ready. What better example can you show, when it hits the fan, than to say, " I know a better way than to run to the State," and by being the example yourself.
If you are just as needy and caught off guard as your local Statist, who is going to listen to you?

The message of Liberty is more than words and philosophy; it requires action, diligence, and self discipline.

Default... ha, I wish

So the big lie right now is if the government doesn't up the debt limit, the government will default. The U.S. government that is. Actually, the big lie is that the U.S. government has shut down. Of course this is a lie, if the U.S. government had actually shut down, I would be posting jubilation to no end on this blog. But, of course, the federal government hasn't shut down. Think I am wrong, try defying a federal law in public. HAHA.
LIE.
The other LIE, is if the U.S. government doesn't raise the debt ceiling then the government will default.
 I wish.
If this were true, again, I would have posted at least 1000 posts praying for this.
The truth is, and if you listen to Peter Schiff at all you already know, the U.S. government already takes in 10 times the money it needs to not default every year in taxes alone.
But, that's not enough for the parasites, they want the tax money and the ability to borrow as much as they want to, so our great great great great grandkids will foot the bill. Don't think so? The British government is still paying on the debt incurred during the real first world war, the 7 years war, or the French and Indian war, of the 1750s. That 's a lot of greats in the grandkids.
Don't believe anything the State is telling you right now, (or ever) and don't fall for the Republican Fascists who are acting like they are on an all out warpath against Obamacare. The only thing they hate about Obamacare is that a Democrat created it.
Think about it. Medicare is 10 times worse, and G.W. Bush upped that little program to infinity, and cost the American people billions. And these same parasite republicans ALL voted for it.
OOPS, except Ron Paul.
So, rest at ease.
The best thing that could happen, seriously, would be for the U.S. government to actually default.
Not for the Statist Parasites, but for us, the hosts.
The longer they kick the can down the road, the worse it will be for a majority of our folks who are our neighbors.
Another little piece of friendly advice. Don't listen to Glenn Beck. I have been listening in the last few days, (although I am happy to say I shut it off after just a few minutes). Glenn is just as lost on the debt ceiling and default as your next door Keynesian neighbor you might have.
It is pretty sad. He has a huge following, and almost seems so close, but when you look behind his passionate Statism, you can see him for what he is. A Statist.

So, never fear. We who love Liberty should never fear what is to come from the ill choices of our neighbors and their collective mindset.
Stock up on some food, some silver, gold, bullets, and more importantly, stock up on some compassion.
The greatest thing a person who believes in Individual Liberty can do is to love his neighbor as himself.
Prove to the Statist that we don't need the State. You know, "What would we do without the State providing for us???"
Show them. Walk the talk.

The time IS near at hand, whether we will be free men or slaves.

I choose to be free. And I choose my neighbor to be free.

Pray for the end of the State; pray for your posterity, that there will be a U.S. default. Take responsibility now. I would rather fight the storms that are coming because of the decisions of my fathers now, than pass them on to my children.
If hard times are coming, let me weather them. 

Let my children live as free men and women.

To U.S. soldiers

The ramp up to war with Syria is in high gear. The power crazed politicians mean to have war one way or the other. Under the pretense of an obvious false flag (the Syrian government using chemical weapons), the rulers of the American Empire are ready to kill. And they will. And innocent people who have done nothing to Americans will die at the hands of Americans.
But none of these crazed individuals in the U.S. government will fire a shot. None of them will.
They count on the American  soldier to kill for them, and to advance their agenda for the Middle East.
The argument that these weapons somehow threaten America is even more ridiculous than the lies made to get us into the Iraq war. The U.S. State lied to the whole world, and sent American soldiers there to kill for them, turning  America into the aggressor, and American soldiers killed innocent people that had done nothing to nor threatened the American people.
But Bush didn't fire a weapon. Cheney and Rumsfeld never fired a shot.
You, American soldier, did.


So today, you are being told that you will be sent to fight Syria. So I have to ask you, will you?

Are you going to kill Syrians that pose no threat to America? Is that why you joined the armed forces? When you gave your oath to the Constitution of the United States, did it mean anything to you? How is the Syrian "enemy" threatening America? How are the moms, dads, sons and daughters that are going to die a threat to you or the American people? And if they are not, how can you justify killing them?

America has fought a long war supposedly against our named enemy, Al-Qaeda. It is a known fact that the rebels fighting against the Syrian government are fighters, of Al-Qaeda. By attacking Syria, you will be directly helping Al-Qaeda, the very enemy your government has had you fighting for 12 years. Are you willing to do that? Wouldn't this be counter thinking to any sane person? Why have you been fighting Al-Qaeda only to help them now?
You, American Soldier, can refuse. You are the ones who have to pull the trigger, you can be the ones who say no. The American people are counting on you. People of the whole world are counting on you. Little kids in Syria are counting on you. If you don't, you, soldier, will be the ones responsible for killing innocent people, not your government, not Obama, not McCain, YOU. Yes you, even Americans are not immune from being war criminals.
You have a duty to say no, as the Nuremberg Trials showed. This will not be a Just War. This will just be a war.
Murder.
You do not have to continue to be fodder for the American Empire, which preys on your feelings of loyalty to your comrades to get you to do Its bidding.
Strike a real blow for freedom. Refuse to go. Refuse to attack Syria. The lovers of Liberty will stand with you. You officers in the military, it's time you actually lead. You know you have the Right to refuse un-Constitutional orders. You have a duty to refuse. Don't ask your men to be war criminals. History WILL judge you.

Patriot's Lament May 4, 2013: Being A Patriot and All Is Not Lost

In this episode we talk about those elite killers that take on the mighty and evil terrorists!!
Who are these brave warriors? Punks who sit behind a computer screen and kill little kids 7000 miles away from them using a drone. This practice is so disgusting, if you know a drone pilot you should do your best to make that person as uncomfortable as you can when meeting them or confronting them. Instead of getting esteem from people, they should feel our disgust in what they do for a living. Mock them. We also talk about an incident in Alaska where the State is exposed on camera violating a person.

Patriot's Lament April 6, 2013: Arbitrary Law and Unless People Want Freedom

In this episode Matt Want, former borough assemblymen sits in for Steve Floyd, we go around and around and generally have a fun time. We talk about Statist pig Dick Durbin telling us that "no Rights are absolute." Of course the State thinks this way.
We refute that claim, of course.

In America, the sun is green, and the sky is fool...

With the Zimmerman verdict, several thousand people are protesting the not guilty verdict of George Zimmerman. Destroying private property, ready to execute "justice," these people froth at the mouth for what, they have no idea. Right or wrong, he had a jury trial, by people. They said not guilty. The State was even outed as being the instigator of these protests. Why does the State encourage this type of protest? To rid itself of that irritating Right to Trial by Jury?
At the same time, more news is revealed daily about the NSA spying on these same people, tracking every phone call, every email, every communication... and not a peep. No protests, no outrage, nothing, neither violent nor peaceful. What is going on here? Can these people be this foolish?

Today it was reported that Pakistani Taliban have been fighting with the "rebels" against the Syrian government of Assad for months. The same people we have been sending drone strikes to kill, including women and children, are fighting against Assad, and even knowing this, (and you can know the US government knows full well they are there) the same people who are ordering drone strikes to kill Pakistani Taliban in Pakistan, are trying to arm the same Pakistani Taliban in Syria to fight Assad. Along with Al- Qaeda fighters, whom the US is also trying to arm. Sen. McCain actually met with Al-Qaeda fighters during his visit there. So... what is going on? Has this whole fight against terrorism been a fake? To give the US government the excuse to destroy whatever was left of the Bill of Rights? Seems like one could make a good case for it.
And not a peep again.
I have said over and over this battle is for the minds and hearts, it is an Intellectual one. The 2 stories above prove this even more.
The American people continue to ride an emotional roller coaster, while the State continues to grow by taking advantage of this.
The nonthinking fools are following the thinking fools. Both are headed for the cliff.

Contributing to slave labor

We had a guy call the show today, who calls himself "token socialist" (TS), and he basically said that buying from WalMart makes you responsible for the slave labor conditions in China, and you are contributing to the suicide rate there, where people are diving off buildings to end their enslavement.
I am going to give you my opinion, one you may not have heard or thought of before.
First, I am not a communist, and do not condone the communist system. I do not condone indentured servitude, slave labor or whatever.
 I hate the State.
What I am for is Liberty and the ability to live and trade freely.
The Chinese have lived through one master after another, and their latest master is communism. The communist system has murdered tens of millions of Chinese, and yet TS is upset, saying middle class America is taking advantage of these Chinese by purchasing goods made in China.
I would say that middle class Americans buying Chinese goods has had the opposite effect for the Chinese people. Before the Chinese were making goods that Americans bought, the Chinese were slaves to their government with literally no value. Killing millions of them just made it easier to feed the rest that were kept alive. They lived like dogs, getting zero in return for their work, only whatever the Great Leaders decided to give them.
Then the Market stepped its foot into China, and by selling cheap goods to the Americans, (those greedy good for nothings), the Chinese laborer suddenly had value, his actual life had a certain value that it had never had before. He could make the State rich. As time has gone on, the average working Chinese people have seen their standard of living go up, not near what America has seen in previous years, but it is better than it was. And I say, given more time, the Free Market will destroy the Communist Chinese and the Chinese people will flourish. In the meantime, buying Chinese goods is making the Chinese Slave more valuable to the State, which induces the State to treat them better and better. A healthy, happy slave is going to produce more than a sick unhappy one. In time, the Market will show that a Free person can and would produce even more.
Take North Korea for an  example. They produce no goods that the Western world buys. They are the most impoverished people on the planet. Has middle class America brought them to their fate? Not at all-- the State and Socialism has. If the people of North Korea were allowed to make goods that the West would purchase, their standard of living would skyrocket. Would they be eating prime rib in the first year? Nope. But a bite of meat to go with the 2 spoons of rice would be an improvement, and it would progress from there. China is proof.
I asked, and would like to know, from whom should I purchase goods from then, if not ever from the Chinese? Should all my purchases go to "American" companies and corporations? American companies pay extremely high taxes, which ends up going to the military industrial complex, and feeds the war machines that enables the U.S. to make war with all peoples of the world (including their own), and to kill people in the Middle East simply because they are brown. So am I more ethical by supporting that? Trading with American companies simply makes the U.S. government stronger through taxation. Period. More jobs going overseas means less tax slaves for the U.S., which makes it harder for it to make war.   
And here in the U.S. we see that the opposite is happening than what is happening in those "Slave States." Americans are losing Liberty as fast as the clock can move.

So strike a blow for Liberty, help those enslaved by the Socialist Marxist government of China, and buy quality Chinese goods. Help to truly feed the poor, and raise an entire people's standard of living. One day you can say you helped in the collapse of the Chinese Communist government, and used the Free Market to do it.

Patriot's Lament March 9, 2013: Trillion Dollar Coin and Bad Medicine

In this episode we talk about the idiotic congressmen who actually thought that printing a trillion dollar coin was the answer to the U.S. debt. And people actually vote for these idiots. We go on to talk about government monopolies and how the services we get are dropping in value every day (although we pay more) directly because of government monopolies restricting competition in the free market.

What if it was your kid?

A good friend asked me the other day; " I listened to your show last week, but I have to ask you, what if your child was one of the ones killed, would you be all "due process" then?"
A hard question if you answer it honestly. And there are a few things to say here about the State and Justice, but that is another topic.
I answered, but asked him back," No doubt that is a hard question, but what if YOUR child was the one being accused?"
No doubt, you would be a believer in Due process.
Due Process is the one thing I think that separated the union of States from the rest of the world.
No one, not one, could be deprived of Life, Liberty, or Property without due process of Law. If found guilty, the remedy was there.
Strange how Statism has struck during this tragedy. Folks who are totally against the State and against Obama, decided that in this instance, they are full supporters.
Again I ask, where are the Sons of Liberty? The defenders of Due Process? The Libertarian? The Liberal? The Conservative?
It is a slow fade, a fading into totalitarianism, with the cheers of the above mentioned.

I hope, I pray, that there are still the Remnant, the Radicals as they may be called, who will stand and say NO!

Truly George Washington's words are more true today than when the Colonists were fighting for their Liberty some 250 years ago; " The time is near at hand, whether Americans are to be free men, or slaves."

USA! USA! USA! or "It all started in Boston"

So went the chants of the feeble sheep in Boston after the accused "Boston bomber" was taken into custody the other day.
As everyone knows, Boston was in total lock down, of course none dare call it (save a few) Martial Law, people were simply asked to stay in the confines of their homes.
And the whole city obeyed without a peep.
I talked with some friends who were in awe how the "terrorists" were able to shut down Boston, and I agreed, but our view of the terrorists were different; in my view, the terrorist State shut down Boston.
Would Boston have shut down merely from the terror bombings? No, it took the terror of the State to do it.
Terror of the State?
I have read reports of the police State warning through loud speakers that, "if you want to live"... followed by whatever order they were giving. The police State going house to house, ordering serfs out of their homes, "hands up, hands up!!" all the while automatic rifles are pointed at the serfs' heads.
Is there any doubt that a wrong move, or failure to submit to the unethical, immoral, unlawful searches would have gotten a few serfs shot?
Every Natural Right that a human has was violated that day, and not a peep of resistance.
How is it, in the town of the Father of the Revolution, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, the Sons of Liberty, the infamous Boston Tea Party, that no one even merely protested? In the town where the British were forced to remain in their ships in port and wouldn't dare walk the streets of Boston without heavy troop presence for fear of the Citizens of the town?
That great town of Boston, whose Citizens under heavy siege resisted the British at every point.
The Crown was their government, they didn't ever say otherwise, (except for a few of the Radicals like Adams and later with the Declaration of Independence) but they resisted their government for abuses of their Natural Rights as British subjects.
Where were the cries from the Bostonians last week to their fellow countrymen for relief during this siege? Would relief have come? 

Sad isn't the right word for what happened, but it's all I can feel.

Now the State has decided that this suspect, who is a U.S. citizen (whether he is or not doesn't matter to me), does not "deserve" his basic human rights and does not deserve to be given what was the cornerstone of the American experiment, no deprivation of Life, Liberty and Property without Due Process of Law.
The Tyrants McCain and Graham seethed that the suspect not be given Due Process, the very thing these 2 took an oath to defend. Graham went on to say how wonderful it would have been to have drones flying the skies of Boston to help in the search, and we find out now that they were. Maybe next time they can use a hell fire missile too!
Graham is right, the battlefield is on the American homeland, but that battle is between American Liberty and the State.



I can't help but wonder what Samuel Adams would say about this whole ordeal, and I think this one part of an essay he wrote tells it:
The liberties of our Country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have receiv'd them as a fair Inheritance from our worthy Ancestors: They purchas'd them for us with toil and danger and expence of treasure and blood; and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle; or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men. Of the latter we are in most danger at present: Let us therefore be aware of it. Let us contemplate our forefathers and posterity; and resolve to maintain the rights bequeath'd to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. — Instead of sitting down satisfied with the efforts we have already made, which is the wish of our enemies, the necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude, and perseverance. Let us remember that "if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom." It is a very serious consideration, which should deeply impress our minds, that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event.

Patriot's Lament February 23, 2013: Stop Talking and Get Sanctioned

In this episode, ok, in this episode, or at least during, I was seriously thinking of never doing this radio show again. It all just seemed fruitless, helpless, worthless. In the 20 months we have done the show, I felt like not one day had made any dent on the statist front. One caller said we needed to quit talking cause theory and thought is stupid (obviously) and we needed to just start shooting people in the face. I have long told that a revolution has to start with theory and thought. Not murder. Then, we have a caller who says if we don't revitalize the republican party all hope for the world is lost. You see why I seriously thought to never have the show again? But victory and Liberty is not for the faint of heart, my God said to Fear Not! So I shall not. A couple of callers inspired me to keep up the good fight, thank you all who support us with your calls and thoughts and prayers. Fight! THIS BATTLE IS NOT FOR THE WEAK. Liberty, She is beckoning, She is Right there, waiting for those who seek Her and wish to have Her. Liberty will prevail, despite all of Her enemies, we will have Liberty.

Patriot's Lament February 9, 2013: If God is Against Us and Force Them to Defend Us

In this episode we discuss whether God is on the side of the "U.S." or not. Or did He switch sides? We have a full hour of first time callers call in, and we ask if the state governments will  not protect us from Federal tyranny, and they just rubber stamp anything the Feds do, then why not just get rid of state government altogether?

So - Separation of State & Marriage. Sounds good to me.

This is from the comment section of the last post. And I agree, mostly. But more to the point, all separation from the State, and ultimately the end of the State, is much more desirable.
When the conservatives brought the State into being an arbiter of marriage, they got what they asked for. You would think that they would see the fallacy of their desire, and cut the tie from the State and marriage.
But no. And why would they? When you get a State marriage license, you get benefits from the federal government!! And from State governments!! Who doesn't want that?
But at what cost?
They have now given the State the Authority to decide what the definition of marriage can be. Just for some measly tax benefits. Instead of trying to get tax benefits from the loving State, they should have fought taxes in the first place.
But no, let our god be the State, our well being, and the well being of our children, are it's #1 priority. Even better, let the State take care of our children, so we can use our time in a more productive way.
As far as deciding what marriage ought to be, haven't we seen yet that the State is a non-existent entity?
You will never drive down the street and say to your child, "look!!! there is the State"!!
The "State" is merely other human beings, who people have chosen to rule over them, and grant them the power by consent to decide for them that which is proper or not. People no different than themselves.
And yet, when these people make decisions they don't like, they howl and cry foul!!!!
If you are going to be upset at the decisions the State may make, then why did you bend your knee to let them make any decision for you at all?
 At what point did you not know that which is right, and that which is wrong? At what point did you need someone to tell you?
The State will of course want to sanctify gay marriage, it will give it more power. And if you look at it from the State's point of view, how can it deny gay marriage? Why would it?

Whether or not the State allows gays to get a marriage license, it has no bearing on me. I see the State as a entity of pure evil, and no one has been able to show me otherwise. So what do I expect the State to aspire after?
Why do "Christians" get all upset with this issue? And why do they promise their fealty to the State if the State will just see things their way this time? "We will be good serfs and bow to your authority over marriage if you will just keep "Those" people out of the club." 
I don't have a marriage license. I did not ask the State for it's permission to marry. It was, and is, none of the States business. So if gays convince the State to sanctify their marriage, it won't bother me, I reject the State, I reject it's sanctification, I reject to it's very existence.
Let evil do what evil will do, and simply reject it.

Reject the State, and withdraw your consent from it.
